Flights Delayed OR Canceled:

4th of July is near and this week has also been very troublesome for the travellers.

A large number of flights have been delayed or canceled in the US as soon as travel begins on July 4.

At least 1,100 flights have been canceled by the airlines amid the shortage of airline staff and increase in the number of passengers.

On Friday, more than 7,800 United States flights were delayed, causing a lot of inconvenience to passengers.

Delayed flights accounted for 45% of JetBlue's operations and about a third of United, American Airlines' operations.

Of these 7,800 flights, Southwest Airlines saw a third of its operations and Delta Airlines a quarter of its operations.

At least 3,475 flights were delayed in the United States on Saturday as well, with a total of 611 cancellations.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the reason for the delay was due to thunderstorms in the northeast on Friday afternoon.

According to a report, more than 12,000 flights in July were short of a captain, first officer or both.
