Highland Park Shooting: 

Vice President Kamala Harris visits Highland Park shooting scene on Tuesday.

Panic erupted during the Independence Day parade in Highland Park, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago.

These bullets were fired from the roof of a house in which six people were killed and 57 were injured.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times report, the parade started at 10 am. Firing started only after 10 minutes.

Harris visits the crime scene on Tuesday and said Americans need to understand that gun violence "can happen anywhere,"

Kamala Harris said that "I want to urge all families and all individuals to seek the support you rightfully deserve."

Addressing gun safety in the US, the Vice President said that "we as a country need to be smarter about who has access to assault weapons in particular.

The vice president said that we have to take weapons seriously. Because we are now forced to take it seriously.

Kamala Harris said that now the US should understand that it can happen anywhere, in any peace loving community.
