Insurance company TIAA and social technology startup Savi have entered into a partnership to introduce a new debt-management solution.

This joint venture guides public-service employees seeking federal student loan forgiveness through an eligibility application.

It aims to help employees of 100 nonprofit, health and university systems forgive approximately $286 million of their student loans.

TIAA Senior Director Shelley Iveka said that, we know it has become such a burden for people to pay off their student loans.

He said we'll try to help customers navigate and make their student loan payments along with getting forgiveness.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program which is a federal program that can forgive student loans.

PSLF forgives student loan debt of eligible employees of government organizations and nonprofits organizations .

TIAA and Savi's new solution, which is offered as an employer-provided benefit and helps participants navigate PSLF.
